TRF7962A: CRC errors always occur.

Part Number: TRF7962A

Hello.
I use the TRF7962A to read the UID of the IC tag.

There is always one IC with a CRC error.
Necessary data (UID) is taken normally.
It does not occur with the other 250 machines.
I have this factor
*Defective IC
*control
I do not know.

Can you judge by looking at SPI timing?
I am using SPI CLK 4 MHz.

I refer to SLOC313.
The machine has already been shipped, and no major changes can be made.

I asked another question before.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

If the CRC error always occurs, that makes me think perhaps the part was damaged. But without being able to change the code notably it would be hard to test this.

I don't see anything suspect with the printout of SPI logs.

  • Hello.
    I have this part now.
What do you do when you test?

It was a good report that there was no problem with SPI control.
As there is no precedent so far, I will treat it as a hardware failure.

    Thank you.

  • Hello,

In general my debug starts by viewing the SPI lines when the error occurs and see what errors the device throws back, and how the errors are then treated (i.e. is the device reset and reconfigured properly.

For a case like yours, the key points to start with is the frequency of the errors and if the device is being reset properly to fully clear the error.

After that, if possible, hardware is a good place to check. Areas to look at include the antenna tuning and seeing if there is any noise injection on the power pins.
