We want to make a design with CC2652P using a proprietary protocol based on MSK modulation. To get started we tried a LAUNCHXL-CC1352P-2 kit as recommended on the product page for CC2652P, but when trying to configure this in SmartRF Studio selecting proprietary protocol only gives settings for Sub 1GHz. The CC13x2,CC26x2SimpleLink™ Wireless MCU Technical Reference Manual, section 25.10, states that the radio shall be compatible with CC2500 yet the settings for MSK cannot be found in the documentation. Neither does the SmartRF Studio contain any settings for proprietary protocols when CC2652P is selected in off-line mode.
Questions are:
1) Is it possible to configure CC1352P for proprietary communication at 2.4 GHz using MSK with 500 Mb/s?
2) If so, can the same configuration be used for CC2652P?
3) Is it expected that SmarRF Studio and the data sheet is going to be expanded with more settings for the CC26X2 devices?
Regards
/Torkel
Torkel,
The CC1352 has only 2-GFSK, 4-GFSK support.
We do not have a configuration for the CC1352 in 2.4 proprietary, but you can compare the register overrides being done on the BLE configuration and sub 1 proprietary and start from there.

Thanks for the fast reply!
Does this mean that MSK is not supported by CC2652P either?
