I am trying to gather data from a external source onto the CC2652 LaunchPad Board through SPI as shown in the attached picture. What is the code to do it. Is there any existing example code. Please help me.

You can refer to the TI-RTOS spimaster example code and search for ADS1120 implementation online to merge with this.

Hi Eirik

But this example involves two LaunchPad one as master and another as slave. But I am using only one LaunchPad and one ADS1120 board. Will it still function as required as I wont be using another LaunchPad as slave.

Are you planning on using a stack protocoll (BLE, Zigbee, etc?).

My approach would be to find the appropriate stack example and add SPI communication to this project. In the links i provided above you might find relevant SPI sensor implementations you can port into the stack project.

Hi Eirik

I going to connect the sensor board which I have customised and ADS1120 to the LaunchPad CC2652 by configuring the GPIOs. This is then transferred from one LaunchPad to another LaunchPad at the receiver end through Bluetooth.

I guess there are many examples and starting points you could consider, but the Simple Serial Socket example illustrate how to stream data from UART2UART through BLE:

Or you can refer to simple_central and modify this to become your gateway and the use elements from the Multi Sensor in your Sensor node.

Hi Eirik

I was trying to approach it by combining three sample code that is simple_central+spiexternal+ADS1220 main.c and further modifying it by excluding the functions whcih are not required. Will the approach stay true for the attached portion below i.e, the transmitter portion. Thank you for constant help.

I would consider using simple_peripheral for the Sensor Node as usually the Slave role in BLE can provide lower average current consumption and the example already has implemented a GATT server where you can add your own custom characteristics to store sensor data.
