CCS/CC8531: Data is occasionally lost when using cc-8531

Part Number: CC8531

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

dear team:

We use the CC-8531 chip to receive multichannel i2s signals from the main node.(12.288MHz mclk、1.536M bclk、48kHz lrclk) It is found that the data is occasionally lost. The spectrum is as follows.

We did a comparative test, using the same batch of transmitting equipment, different receiving equipment for data transmission. It is found that the data transfer is good.

The receiving power of the antenna has been adjusted and the transmission line  impedance are analyzed,The result is good.

One more thing:There would be little data loss if the test room had only one router device or none,  We lost a lot more data when we turned on 3 router devices at the same time.We suspect that the wifi  signalis interfering with the 2.4g channel.

Are there good suggestions for us to improve the quality of communication?

  • Hi Taoyu,

The image seems to be broken, could you try to upload it again?

As for the tests, have you check the noise floor in the environment in different channels? You can do this by using the "PurePath Wireless Commander" tool if you have a production test image programmed to the device (there is a checkbox in the programming interface in PurePath Wireless Configuration to select between application image and production test).

Using this together with a RX and TX device you should be able to see how the reception between the two seems to work (what the RSSI seen by the RX side is for example).
