I am currently developing a system which will use a CC2530 and TRF 7960 linked via SPI. As a start I'd like to confirm SPI communications between the two using evaluation boards. I have a TRF7960-CB and a SmartRF05 EB with CC2530EM and CC2531 USB Dongles. I'm taking the UART outputs from the CC2531 USB dongle, and will first confirm SPI comms on these with a scope, then connect to the 7960 and hopefully get them to play nicely. I've successfully programmed the Dongle using ExtSoC, so I can focus purely on the code.

Are there any example software designs that I can use as a base to build from, that implement SPI? I think the Z-stack code has some in, but digging through the rather massive Z-Stack code is a little daunting.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the reply, I have had a look through the software examples (swrc135b) which include "light switch", "per test" and "spectrum analyzer". Sadly none of these appear to implement SPI, they seem to focus much more on the RF side of things. Are there any others?

this is hrishabh. actually i m creating ome setup of spi communication between realtek8198 to cc2530em. but how to make cc2530as slave device i m not getting . can u tell me some steps , how to establish the connection.
