RF430FRL152HEVM: RF430FRL152HEVM

Part Number: RF430FRL152HEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: RF430FRL152H,

Hi,

So this is a follow up post. I wanted to get RF430FRL152H temperature sensor patch in android and for that I took help from the source code provided by Texas Instruments and it is working perfectly as required after tweaking it a bit according to my requirement. But the NFC part to get temperature sensor is only working for Samsung android and not for other android phone. Considering I am using RF430FRL152HEVM I just wanted to confirm if this chip works with all devices? or if you have any clue how to resolve this issue it would really be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

regards,

Haider (RMIT student)

  • Hello Haider,

the RF430FRL152H is full ISO15693 compliant. Based on that it should be compatible with all smartphones that support this standard. My guess is that the fieldstrengths of the smartphone is not strong enough to power the device.

Independent of your app, is the smartphone able to detect the RF430FRL152HEVM?

    Best regards

  • Hi Helfied,

Sorry for taking a bit of time to get back to you. Yes I believe the smartphone is able to detect RF430FRL152HEVM as we can hear the NFC tone sound once we bring the chip closer to the device (but see no data).

Could you recommend me any other established android application that reads data from RF430FRL152HEVM using NFC? this would really help in knowing if the fault lies in our coding side or if there is some sort of bug in our hardwares.

    Thanks for the help.

    regards,

    Haider
