CC2652RB: Launchpad to Breadboard

Part Number: CC2652RB
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2652R

Hi Team, Seeking your assistance in this situation.

After evaluation on the launchpad, the design would be executed on the breadboard. The MCU grounds will be exposed located on the bottom of the chip, do we have a workaround for this? They need the CC2652 mounted on a breadboard adapter the exposes all 48 pins and the ground pad.

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Regards,

Mark

  • Hi Mark,

You will never get the CC2652R to perform well on a breadboard. At least not the radio part. You need a solid ground plane and low impedance ground return paths for the RF network to work properly.

I would recommend going from LaunchPad to a prototype PCB.
