Which interface are you using? Have you set all the jumpers und the DIP switch according to the documentation?

Hi Helfried,

I am using the USB interface.

Here are my configurations on the RI-CTL-MB2B-30:

DIP switch were set to OFF by default

JP11 = closed (USB)

JP5 = closed (USB)

JP6 = closed and provided a 12v DC power source to ST22 (as followed on the leaflet included on the package)

other jumpers:

JP12 = closed

JP13 = open

JP14 =closed

While on the RI-RFM-007B-30:

DIP switch was ON by default

When I tried to open the S2_Util.exe, It can only detect the COM port that was initially detected when I plugged in the USB (in my case, it was COM4)

But still I can't manage to make it work.

Hello Gabriele,

just for clarification, the USB port can not be used for the normal reader operation. This is just a so called service port which is used for the configuration of the reader. For the normal operation of the reader the RS232 port hast to be used.

Thanks for the information. I will check it out try to make it work using the serial rs232 then. But another problem is that my corporate laptop does not have a serial rs232 port. But we do have a USB to Serial converter. Can we use it instead?

Please advise.
