TRF7970A: Get Firmware Version Cmd using DLP-RFID2

Hello,

I am trying to send a command to the reader DLP-RFID2 to get the Firmware version, i have the source code of the TRF7970A_GUI application, however i can't seem to find the function which handles the Get Firmware Version option. I need to know how long will be the Data received from the reader and what is the command to use in order to get the firmware version.

Is there any chance one of you have it? or points me where to look exactly?

Hello Sabrine,

this command is used to report the firmware version:

0108000304FE0000

The response looks like:

Firmware Revision 03 from 11/Nov/2013

Hello, and thank you for replying. I also need the maximum length of the data sent from the reader, like is it char[37] because we have 37 letters and each one needs to be written on 1 byte?

Hello Sabrine,

the response to the command that reports the firmware version is 42 characters long, because it has one added space and two added CR/LF.

Thank you. And one last question. Do you have a code example that i can send from my microcontroller to the module rfid in order to get the firmware version? Thank you.

Because this depends from the microcontroller used and also we use the PC to send the commands I can not provide a code example.
