CC115L: CC115L SOC

Part Number: CC115L
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR2310, CC1101, CC1310

Our customers have a label requirement, that is, they regularly send their ID through 433MHz frequency. 433MHz RF + MCU is needed. This should be very simple. Customers want to find SOC scheme. Which MCU + 433MHz scheme is more suitable for Ti.

  • I am not sure I understand the question. Do the customer want to use a SoC (System on Chip) or do the want to use CC115L + an MCU?

If the latter is the case, which MCU to use is only determined by their application needs (which I do not know anything about). For the sake of the CC115L, the only requirements for the MCU is that it can communicate over SPI. This can be through a dedicated SPI interface on the MCU, or they can implement bit-banged SPI.

  • At present, the customer's products are using cc115l + msp430fr2310. The customer wants to find a soc (system on chip) to replace cc115l + msp430fr2310. Does Ti recommend SOC (system on chip)?

  • There are several SoCs to choose from.

    CC1110, CC1310, and CC1312 are all sub-1 GHz SoC (CC1110 is basically the CC1101 + an 8051, while CC1310 and CC1312 has a ARM®
Cortex®-M0 in the RF Core, and an Arm® Cortex®-M3 and Arm® Cortex®-M4F respectively, as the main CPU, ).
