CC1312R: Boot Loader?

Hi Team,

I have following request, can you please check and advise?

Our solution is a mesh network based on the project “6lowpan_mesh_ti_15_4_cc1312_tirtos_cc”.

I have successfully used the serial boot loader to update the image of the RF root, but we need to enable the boot loader to update the image of the RF nodes remotely.

As long as the “Over The Air ” feature is not compatible with the 6lowpan, Do you have any suggestions to run the boot loader in our project?

Hi Furkan,

As you say, OAD is not supported for the 6lowpan mesh design.

The serial bootloader (ROM bootloader) can only be used over a wired interface.

They will need to implement a bootloader and the OAD process themselves. They can take the TI BIM project as a starting point and they can probably use it without many changes:

We have some notes on how to add (BLE) OAD to a project in a SimpleLink Academy lab. Maybe this can serve as a rough outline of what they need to implement?
