Is a DPDT switch suggested/necessary?
We are replacing an analog rf circuit with the CC1125.
On the analog circuit we had a DPDT switch on an external PA/LNA due to a shared antenna port.
We understand that the CC1125 CAN control that switch with two GPIO and the appropriate configuration of the two registers that contol the external LNA/PA.
My question is:
1. Is it necessary? Since the CC1125 controls the TX and RX do we even need an external device that prevents both at the same time.
2. Is it potentially detrimental? Can there be issues with the TX on the 1125 beginning prior to the switch being thrown by the GPIO?
3. Is it the best use of those two GPIO? Since the reference schematic suggests tying them to the MCU as interrupts and because of the DPDT switch I cannot do that.
