CC1175: Part DateCode: do I have to be concerned?

Hi,

trying to buy parts wherever possible I have an offer for "CC1175RHMR" with DateCode12+.

Supplier guarantees industrial quality with "(„Fit, Form & Function“). " with one year solderabilty.

What do you guys think, can I buy it? I use them in 'Transparent Mode' applications only.

Or did you change something on the firmware or ...

It exist only one version of the CC1175. But I don't know what they mean by "12+" as a datacode. If they have passed the specified shelf life you should consider to bake the devices before use.

assuming 12+ means 'oldest 2012'. Any concern?
- How can we determine if they 'passed the expected shelf life' and
- Baking means in praxis what: cycling temp. of the whole circuit or even the CC's before soldering or ...
Any hint what exactly you would apply is very helpful

Yes, this answers most of the question.

And it seems as baking just to vaporize potential moisture before reflow could make sense.
What do you think, what temperature & time should one use?
