Dear sir,

I am learning the "collector" and "sensor" examples based on TI 15.4Stack,

I want to know if there is any tool or calculation ways to evaluate how many sensors can join the network at the same time with a reliable message transfer?

for example, 433MHz, 50kbps, 100meters range....

We do not have any tools that calculated max number of nodes that I am aware of. When it comes to range, please see:

I want to know if the collector can have 100 or 200 nodes to join but I don't have 200 nodes at hands， so in want to get a theoretical value. any suggestions?

There are no way of finding a theoretically number for this, as the number of devices that your network would be able to support will be highly dependent on how many resources your application uses in terms of memory.

You will have two different limitations here:

- Memory (as Siri's last mail covers)

- Congestion

For the latter: For a simplified calculation, calculate the time one sensor will be in TX within a given time (given by the datarate, packet length and how often the sensor sends data. In addition any ack etc has to be considered). Then multiply this with the number of sensors. If the total tx time in a period is larger than 10 - 20 % of the total period the probability for re-transmits etc starts to be high and the network start to be congested. To have an effective network the transmit times should be below this threshold.

If 15.4 is used, the conventional theoretical value of sensor TX is 50 sensor

, relative to CC1310 memory. Please use CC1312 for more quantities.
