LAUNCHXL-CC1352R1: TI Clang and Analog Signal Chain Studio compatibility

Dear TI Engineers,

This is a follow up of my question here:

Now, I am planning to set up a Wi-sun node following this example (attachment).

In addition, I also want to integrate the Analog Signal Chain Studio into this wi-sun node example project so that this node can carry some common sensors.

Now, I am facing a problem: the original Analog Signal Chain Studio example is written and given in TI CCS tool chain and TI RTOS, is Analog Signal Chain Studio also compatible with a wi-sun project written in TI Clang?

Hi Tim,

Since Analog Signal Chain Studio generates .syscfg code, and this code is the same for TI Clang and TI CCS compilers, I would expect this to work. However I will check with the owner of Analog Signal Chain Studio to be sure.

At the mean time, remember to resolve all broken "include" of TI wi-sun stack.

Hi Tim,

I talked to the SW developers working on ASCS. Currently, TI Clang compiler is not supported.

I am checking with them whether there is a work-around you can use.

Marie,

Its bad news.

I think that maintaining many compiler options is not a good idea.

Hi Tim,

After some more research, it seems the issue is not with TI Clang compiler.

We recently updated our GPIO driver (in SDK 5.30), and this is not currently reflected in ASCS. We are currently looking into fixing this and updating ASCS.

In the mean while, you can try reverting to SDK 5.20.

Hi Tim,

I believe a new version of ASC Studio is now released where the I2C integration is compatible with the new GPIO++ driver. (ASCStudio v 1.0.8.) (Sensors that use SPI or ADC have not been updated yet.)

Please let me know if you have further issues.
