CC1310: Can a CC1120 legacy FSK program be supported by the CC1130

Hi,

We have a CC1120 program that has been developed to support a legacy FSK product and has been operating fine for over 1,200 units.

Legacy units work with serial asyn TTL data in/out - No clock, preamble or syn word. Deviation is 4KHz, data rate 2.4kbps.

The requirement is now to provide the same design at 431-527MHz and it seems the CC1310 would operate over this band.

Can the program we have developed using SmartRf7, TrxEB and CC1120EB be converted to operate in the CC1310?

When using async mode and a protocol without preamble and sync, CC1101 is still the best alternative based on performance.

Background: The receiver chain contain a number of modules that each do some post processing on the incoming signal. The datasheet numbers are measured receiving packets with preamble, sync etc. with the received data available in the FIFO. For CC1101 the async signal is tapped out late in the receive chain, close to the FIFO. For CC1120 the signal is taken out earlier and for CC1310 closer still to the start of the chain. Meaning that you will most likely to get poorer performance using CC1310 compared to CC1120.
