Hi Team,

Our customer encounters an error when connecting this device.

Error initializing emulator:
(Error -260 @ 0x0)
An attempt to connect to the XDS110 failed.
The cause may be one or more of: no XDS110 is connected, invalid
firmware update, invalid XDS110 serial number, or faulty USB
cable. The firmware and serial number may be updated using the
xdsdfu utility found in the .../ccs_base/common/uscif/xds110
directory of your installation. View the XDS110SupportReadMe.pdf
file there for instructions.
(Emulation package 9.7.0.00213)

I understand that this EVM as an emulator has a built in XDS110. I advised the customer to check the Host connection error however, it does not help.

Can you help debugging the error? The customer is using CCS 11.2 on ubuntu 20.01

Please ask the customer if they can use Uniflash to detect the device on their PC.

Hi Sid,

The customer suspects that the driver was not installed correctly on ubuntu 20.01. Can you provide the correct driver? or how to re-install this via the linux terminal?

Hi Marvin,

The way to ensure the correct installation of debug probe drivers is to reinstall code composer studio. This will install the required debug probe drives including XDS drivers.

For Linux installations, this seems to be the right resource.

Hi SId,

The customer formated his PC and reinstalled Ubuntu 20.04 and CCS11. However, CC1312R1 was unable to connect via USB but the terminal shows 2 ttyACM connected via USB at the same time.

Have they tried using this utility? It is found in the CCS installation. In the path ccs_base/common/uscif/xds110. This will return the detected xds devices.
