Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Can FL1 (BLM18HE152SN1D) and 6.8uH inductors be removed from the power circuit? If not, how to choose a smaller package?

    Hi,

    The DCDC inductor can be removed; see app note https://www.ti.com/lit/swra640 chapter 11.

    Alternatively, a smaller 0603 footprint can also be used, Murata LQM18DN6R8M70L or TDK MLZ1608M6R8WT000.

    FL1 can be removed from the design but removing power filtering is always a compromise of the level of noise on the power. For a majority of applications this should not be needed.
