Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1312R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1352P7, CC1312R7

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

How many slaves are connected to a single master of the wi-sun chip, and can more than 20 slaves be connected to a single master?

Development board and chip: cc1312. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

Wi-SUN supports a sub1GHz mesh network. There are two types of devices in a Wi-SUN network, the border router or a router node.

The border router is the root node which forms the network and maintains the routing table of the network. The router nodes join the network initiated by the border router.

For the border router, the CC1352P7 or CC1312R7 device with 704KB of flash is necessary.

One border router can support up to 100 router nodes in the network.

More detailed explanation regarding WiSUN network architecture can be found here in the stack user guide.

    Regards,

    Sid
