The Friis equation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friis_transmission_equation)relates several radio communications parameters.
Here is a link to a nice web base calculator. http://www.random-science-tools.com/electronics/friis.htm
When I plugged in 0dBm for the transmit power, -90dBm for the receive power, 915MHz for the carrier frequency and 0dBm for the antenna gains of the receiving and transmitting antennas, I get a result of 824.49 meters.
Note that this is line of sight and making many ideal assumptions. A good rule of thumb would be to reduce the link budget by 20dB (i.e. 70dB total link budget) or so depending on the expected deployed environment. Using these values, you get a distances of 82.449 meters.

If you want to set up a microwave network, do not hsitate to use this free web application.

There is a lot of parameters, like the line of sight, optimisation of mast height, fresnel zone and so on.... It is really interactive and everything has been done in order that you feel it really easy to use.
Thank you for the additional link. This is good stuff for calculating complete link budgets.
