I am using the CC1352P7 in a design which will utilise both sub-GHz and BLE radios. This is for a wearables application where space is at a premium. We plan on using a flexible PCB substrate with a board width of approximately 20mm and a 10mm wide 'tail', which ideally we would use for a trace antenna (diagram below - dimensions in mm).
The TI antenna reference designs require a substantially larger area, so a) is it even feasible to use a trace antenna for 868MHz/2.4GHz operation and b) if not, is there a recommended chip antenna which would be suitable for either/both frequencies?
