CC1312R: Upload FW via serial bootloader

Hello,

what is work flow to upload a FW?

1)switch on the backdoor GPIO pin

2) switch on reset pin (after several ms switch off)

3) run the program in your example to load the FW

4) switch off backdoor pin

5) switch on reset pin (after several ms switch off)

am I right?

Is it possible when there is already FW in the CC1312 somehow to disable ability to read the program from the flash and allow only load new FW?

It is indeed possible to disable reading of the flash using the bootloader by disabling it through the SET_CCFG_BL_CONFIG_BOOTLOADER_ENABLE CCFG bit.

It is explained chapter 10.1.1 of the CC1312 TRM (swcu185).

Thanky you. But your suggested solution would cause impossible to load any new FW. I need only to disable reading (to avoid simple copying our device) and uploading new FW should be allowed. Is it possible this behaviour?

Hi Igi,

Unfortunately, it seems like we cannot do that using our integrated bootloader. You may have to disable that one, and implement your own if you want such a feature.
