CC1310: Chip power consumption question.

Part Number: CC1310

Hi team,

Here's the request from the customer:

All other peripherals are turned off, and the chip consumes 3.7mA when run while(1)?

The board is customer board and there are only about 2 ua when the chip sleep. The 24M in the datasheet is only 1.9 mA, which is not the same as the actual measurement.

Following is the package of customer's program:7801.demo.zip

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Nick

  • Hi Nick,

After they tested that firmware on a CC1310 Launchpad as well? Do they see the same power consumption?

I can try running it on my board, but I might be missing some parameters.

    Regards,

    Arthur

  • Hi Arthur,

They currently don't have Luanchpad so that they can't test that firmware on a CC1310 Launchpad.

    Best Regards,

    Nick

  • Hi Nick,

We would strongly recommend the customer getting a LaunchPad to help clarify if the high current consumption is due to their code or their hardware.

    Regards,

    Zack

  • Hi Zack,

    Thanks for your quick response,

As the customer posts his project, can we try his code on our Launchpad?

    Best Regards,

    Nick

  • Hi Zack,

May I know is there any update for this question?

    Best Regards,

    Nick

  • Hi Nick,

    sorry for answering this late.

Does the customer already have Launchpads?

The customer should try to measure it themselves it is not easy for us to test customers code on not customers hardware.

Also we do not know which setup the customer is using. In oder to measure the power, the customer should ensure that nothing else is active.

In order to measure power, the customer can also try to do the measurements with our examples.

    Regards,

    Alex
