Inquiry about interoperability between a border router (BRD4170A from Silicon Labs) and a node (CC1352P7-1) in Wi-SUN technology testing for a thesis project.

Hello, I am currently conducting tests on Wi-SUN technology using different modules for my thesis project. Among all these tests, I am experiencing difficulties when attempting to perform an interoperability test between a border router (BRD4170A from Silicon Labs) and a node (CC1352P7-1).

The specific issue is that the CC1352P7-1 node is not connecting to the border router. I have worked with the ns_node and ns_coap_node examples previously, which were used for a similar test with the CC1352R7 board, but I did not achieve the desired result.

To provide further context and information, I have attached images of the configuration of the border router and the link tests with another node.

I appreciate any assistance, guidance, or insights that can be provided to help me overcome this challenge and establish interoperability between the border router and the node in my thesis project.

  • Hi Luis,

Please can you share the complete log from the border router side for this joining process. Where does it fail?

Please capture the logs when a node(can be any node) successfully joins the border router's network. Then compare the logs generated when this node fails to join the network. This way, we will be able to identify where the failure happens.
