SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK: Antenna Diversity for Collector - Sensor Example in FH

Part Number: SIMPLELINK-CC13X2-26X2-SDK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310

Hey Team,

after searching for the majority of threads about antenna diversity, as many other people, I did not found anything about implementing antenna diversity in frequency hopping mode.

I m currently working with the Collector and Sensor examples and trying to find a solution for a custom made board with 2 antennas and a RF switch.

Here is some links I read before:

Perhaps using the RF driver to implement this is a good approach, but I could use some guidance if someone could help me.

Thank you in advance,

Nelson

  • Which device are you using and what PHY?

The app note you are referring to is for CC1310 (not CC13x2), and it only supports the genfsk PHYs.

  • Hello ,

    I am using CC13X2 family.

Yes I am aware, I mentioned it here because I wanted to check if there is an app note for CC13X2, or something similiar to implement Antenna diversity in frequency hopping mode.

    My PHY settings are:

    Frequency Band : Sub-1 GHz

    Regulation Type : ETSI

    Sub-1 GHz Frequency : 863 - 869 MHz

    Phy Type : 50 kbps, 2-GFSK

    RF Coexistence : Disabled

  • unfortunately antenna diversity is not available for CC13x2 yet.

we have been doing some work on this, but I do not know when a patch will be ready for release.
