Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1190, CC1312R7, CC1314R10
Hello there,
1. CC13xx, can it support the WiSUN FAN 1.0 & WiSUN FAN 1.1 both the modulation with 27 dBm output power?

Hi K D,
1. The CC1312R7+CC1190 combination supports Wi-SUN 1.0 FSK but not OFDM modulation.
2. We do have a Wi-SUN product brief with network test results. https://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra714/swra714.pdf
This is being updated with a 100 node network test.
3. The nodes themselves can be CC1312R1. They do not have the whole route information, thus the RAM and Flash size can be selected based on application needs.
4. No, currently the network size is limited by the Border router RAM. But we are working on a solution for enabling larger network.
5. The CC1314R10 should be capable of hosting a 300 node network.
6. CC1190 is our AFE which supports up to 27dbm. But you are free to use a Skyworks PA in your design. We do not have a reference design for this.
7. It should be possible to have multiple border routers in the same environment and on the same linux host, but may lead to longer join times due to more collisions.
Hope these help.
Regards,
Sid
Hi KD,
3. The density of the network itself should not affect the RAM requirement of the RN. But please check our ns_node(network coprocessor) and ns_coap_node(fully embedded router) examples to check the memory availability. Our coap examples can only be run on CC1312R7 because it needs bigger flash. This is because of the application requirement and is not affected by network size.
5. This is the same as point 3. The 1:300 configuration, you may choose either board for the router node depending on your application size.

Sid
