CC1354R10: Suitability Question

Hello,

I am looking for a RF transceiver IC that would be a good fit for transmitting and receiving encrypted and unencrypted data (i.e text messages using shorter range). I landed on this transceiver IC (CC1354), I also would like to use the BLE functionality at some point. So that is why I chose this one so far. Basically, all I want to do is a walkie talkie that can text.

If you have any other suggestions for an IC, I'm all ears.

Hi Isaiah,

For your application, you have a few choices of our wireless MCUs. Some of your trade-offs would be memory requirements, cost and wireless technology. CC1354 is a valid choice.

You can take a look at the various wireless software stacks we have. You can choose to use the proprietary RF example to develop your own wireless protocol.

If you want to transmit on a Sub1GHz band and also BLE then you can also look at our other dual band devices CC1352R, CC1352P1, CC1352P7, CC1354P10 and depending on your cost and network requirements, you can make the choice.
