CC1312PSIP: Help Programming from PC

I would like to program the CC1312PSIPSimpleLink Sub-1-GHz Wireless System-in-Package from my PC and don't know where to start. In addition to the chip itself, do I need a JTAG connector? Which IDE do I use? How do I program it? Any information is helpful.

Would it be possible to generate signal pulses of 800+Mhz for 0.5ms every second from this MCU?

Hi Rylee,

There is a LaunchPad development kit released for the CC1312PSIP (the LP-EM-CC1312PSIP), which you will need along with an LP-XDS110ET debugger board. As TheGhostOf linked to, that is the best starting point.

You can use SmartRF Studio 7 (https://www.ti.com/tool/SMARTRFTM-STUDIO) for evaluation of the RF performance, which is a recommended first step. You can program the device to send packets at a set interval, for example. You can go through the documentation for SmartRF Studio in order to see if it does what you need to.

Alternatively, you could use Code Composer Studio (using an example project as a starting point) to perform the task you need - more information is also available in the development guidelines.
