Any News on the CC-6LOWPAN-DK-868 kit? possible price?

Any news on when in September the CC-6LOWPAN-DK-868 kit might be out? I have to make a decision soon,  this kit might be over the budget but would like to know what the options are.

Also, I noticed that the EM430F5137RF900 is going to work with the Sensinode NanoSocket. Is there any chance that EM430F6137RF900 will be able to run the Nanosocket also?

Was thinking of getting EM430F6137RF900 - CC430 Wireless Development Tool or maybe the CC1110DK-MINI-868 - CC1110 Mini Development Kit 868/915 MHz will either of these work with sensinode?

Will the CC1180's be available the same time the CC-6LOWPAN-DK-868 comes out? might just build something on my own.

Will there possibly be Ti's own 6lowpan stack coming out as well?

Any one have any further info on any of this, would appreciate it.

Thanks

Peter

  • Peter,

We are working to release the CC-6LOWPAN-DK-868 in late September. The kit will be around $600, however note that this is just an estimate.

Yes, it would be possible to use the EM430F6137RF900 boards also. The CC1110DK-MINI-868 will not work, you need to have a pre-programmed CC1180. The CC1180 chip is planned to be released at the same time as the sub-1GHz kit CC-6LOWPAN-DK-868.

  • We are currently looking into a 6LoWPAN solution, however it appears the CC-6LOWPAN-DK-868 is not yet available.  Do you have any idea when that would be?  Also, you mention that the EM430F6137RF900board are capable of running Sensinode's 6LoWPAN stack.  What is required to be able to put their stack on these modules?

    Thanks,
