CC1310: The OAD (Over-the-Air Device Firmware Update) does not proceed in case of a connection loss.

Hello,

I have a question regarding OAD (Over-the-Air Device Firmware Update). I am using TI Stack 15.4. During the update of the sensor (CC1310), the update is successful as long as the sensor doesn't lose power/connection. If there is an interruption, the update resumes from where it left off and completes successfully, but the sensor does not reset and boot the new image afterward. Even after a manual reset, the old image is still launched. TIRTOS is stored in flash, so I use "-m 0x1000" when generating the .bin. What could be wrong or what might I be doing incorrectly?

Hi Ales,

Can you read out the downloaded image from external flash when this happens? It sounds like there might be a crc error or similar.

Hi,

for CC1310 sensor device i use : , for linux GW:. I also have one sensor device with CC1312, where OAD works as expected. I have a problem with CC1310 when losing a connection/power.

Hi Ales,

I would expect the Linux GW SDK 4.40.00.03 to work well with CC13x0 SDK.

Apologies but we don't have the bandwidth to further debug the issue you are seeing. My recommendation would be to try to discover that this situation has happened and make sure the device stays offline long enough to avoid the issue.
