CC1352R: TI15.4 Stack - Disable FH broadcast in some nodes

Hi all,

I'm using TI15.4 Stack FH mode with broadcast. I only need broadcast for some nodes of the network.

However, FH broadcast seems to be a global setting on the translator, either it's ON for everyone, or OFF for everyone. This makes the nodes that don't need it, to still wake up and waste power.

I understand this is the way the stack was designed, but is there a way/fix to keep the broadcast disabled only on some nodes? Can I forbid the sensor nodes from waking up for broadcast intervals for example on the sensor code? Surely there must be a way, it doesn't seem like something that farfetched.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me achieve this functionality.

Hi Arthur,

It's a follow up on that thread.

At the time your colleague Marie said it was not possible and closed the thread.

She said to ask other community members, so I was hoping in the meantime someone could have an answer on this.

Also, back then I asked if there was the possibility of having paid TI15.4 Stack support which I was never answered to.

I know that from the standard TI15.4 Stack functionality this is not a setting that can be turned off, however, with just a little bit of help from the right people, I'm sure we can find a simple way to achieve this.

I have had similar situations fixed before thanks to some curious and interested TI engineers here on E2E, that went a little beyond the basics, and tried hard to find solutions.
