CC1352P7: What is "SimpleLinkTM Long Range" is that a protocol, a name, a stack, or what?

Hello my friends,

I am reading the data-sheet for cc1352p7 and specifically the radio performance parts.

I came across a title as "SimpleLinkTM Long Range ... "

I am wondering what this "SimpleLink TM Long Range .. ." is.
Is it a protocol? if so, how can I find the documentation for different layers of this protocol like physical / link / transport / MAC / application layers?

I also found that this "SimpleLink" term is used everywhere, like SimpleLink MCU, SimpleLink SDK, it's a bit confusing for to see what this term is actually.

At any rate, is there any protocol stack for the TI long range option that uses DSSS and FEC?

SimpleLink Long Range Mode is a proprietayr physdical layer supported on som eof our devices.

Our Wi-SUN stack uses the Wi-SUN PHYs and our TI 15.4 stack supports the PHYs found here:

Can you answer my questions clearer?

A protocol stack does not only have a physical layer, it has other layers like link layer, network layer, transport layer, .... .

it seems that your Wi-Sun stack is a "protocol stack" and includes not only the physical layer, but also other layers that are based on Wi-SUN standard which itself entails different standards from IEEE802.15.4 to IETF, ....

Is there any protocol stack for SimpleLink Long range, or it's just a propriety physical layer option? Based your answer, I feel that you meant there is no protocol stack and that's just a physical layer option.

Not sure I understand how I can be clearer. You asked what SimpleLink Long Range mode was, and I answered that it was a PHY.

Sinceit is a PHY, and NOT a protocol stack, I cannot give you details to describe a protocol stack.
