CC1312PSIP: Connection behavior is different for Freq. Hopping vs Non-Beacon mode

Part Number: CC1312PSIP

Tool/software:

I am seeing longer delays when trying to associate the pairs in the sensor/collector project when I switch it over to Freq. Hopping mode.  There seems to be about a 1 min delay to hook a sensor device into the network.  Is there a reason for this?  Is there more being done to get the communication channels established in Freq. Hopping mode?

Thanks,
Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

this is expected because when the devices in frequency mode they will hop through different frequencies and only connect when they are on the same.
Once they are connected they are synced up and you will not expect any delays in communication.

    Kind regards,
    Theo
