CC1200: Usage with External PA

Hi,

If designing for the 868 MHz and/or 915 MHz bands we recommend using the CC1190, so I will answer with that context (the answers provide more generalised information as well).

The PA pin will be in high impedance when in RX.

The CC1190 (or any other FEM) is controlled by DIO signals and the relevant FEM datasheet will provide details on how to configure the correct state for TX/RX (the control logic).

You will need to be aware of the maximum input power of your FEM. In the case of the CC1190 it is +10 dBm.
