TLC2543:SPI communication speed

Part Number: TLC2543

Tool/software:

Dear, Good morning.

please check my previous question or this.

TLC2543 is an ADC IC that supports SPI communication.
SPI communication speeds support up to 4.1 MHz. [data sheet]

The communication speed we use is 2 MHz.
However, it does not work normally at 2 MHz, of coursely not woring at 4 Mhz,

It only works normally when the communication speed is lowered to 1 MHz.

The first image is the ADC value when set to 2 MHz, and the second image is the ADC value when set to 1 MHz.

It should be about 1685 or so, but most of them are being measured incorrectly.
The test results by SPI communication speed are as follows.

1. 4 MHz: Error
2. 2 MHz: Error
3. 1 MHz: Normal

This design does not use a separate pull-up resistor.

Please check why it is different from the communication speed listed in the data sheet.

Thank you.

  • Hello,

Please forgive the delay due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.

I've deleted the previous duplicate thread.

Are you able to share a schematic of your ADC circuit with me? It would also be useful to see the behavior of the SPI lines while at 4MHz or 2MHz clock when there is an error. Can you share an oscilloscope capture of the SPI pins for this case? It would also be helpful in confirming that the timing requirements are being met.

    Regards,
    Joel
