LP-EM-CC1354P10: About SBL UART Download issue (Urgent)!!

Part Number: LP-EM-CC1354P10

Tool/software:

Hi Champs:

Some questions :

Q1. How is the CC13 reset pin + DIO15 pin connection when you are doing UART download from the Processor?

Q2. The DIO15 pin needs to GND all the time during the download period?

Please see the below pic, what is the action we need to perform regarding the DIO15 and Reset pin?

Case1: Do we need to short the (DIO15 to GND) + (Reset pin) all the time till download finished?

Case2: Do we need to short the (DIO15 to GND) only all the time till download finished?

Case3: Do we need to short the (Reset pin) all the time till download finished? ß I don’t think so.

Q3. And we only do reset before the download?

Q4. May you show me how is your HW connection design of this part?

Q5. Do you have the SBL success download log?

plz do help for this urgent case.

Thanks.

  • Hi Rio,

Q1: From the TRM, section 10.1.2 Bootloader Backdoor:

"If backdoor functionality is enabled, externally applying the configurable signal level on the configurable I/O pin
can force ROM bootloader entry upon reset. If the backdoor is enabled and a valid Flash image is present,
start-up code checks the level of the I/O pin. If the configured I/O pin level matches the configured signal level,
the ROM bootloader does not transfer control to the Flash image."

Q2: No, this pin is only read immediately after reset.

    Case 1: No

    Case 2: No

Case 3: You should make sure there's no pulse on the RESET pin, if not the device will reset and you will have to restart the download process.

Q3: Yes. And when the download has finished, you reset the device to exit the ROM bootloader.

Q4: On the CC13xx LPs you will see the UART lines connected to the debugger at the header (RX and TX pins).

    Q5: Sorry, no.

    Cheers,

    Marie H
