CC1354P10: CC1354P10 issue with XDS110 3.0.0.36 firmware

I updated to CCS 20.1.0 which included XDS110 3.0.0.36. After updating the XDS firmware I receive the following error when debugging (or flashing)

File Loader: Memory write failed: Status 0x00201400: Target flashloader has not returned any status. Unknown error! GEL: File: C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\ti_cloud_storage\portable_LP_EM_CC1354P10_1_tirtos7_ticlang.out: Load failed.

If I downgrade using the xdsdfu to v3.0.0.35 then the program works again.

Hi Scot,

Each CCS version has a dedicated FW version of the XDS FW which is compatible.

However I would expect CCS to ask you to "update" (in your case, downgrade) the XDS FW when there is a mismatch.

Yes, CCS 20.1.0 asks you to update to the latest 3.0.0.36 firmware for the XDS.

Once I update to 3.0.0.36 then I cannot program or debug the CC1354 device. I can still debug a CC1352.

Once I downgrade to 3.0.0.35 then everything works again.

Hi Scot,

Not sure if your tried this scenario but can you try updating the firmware to 36 with CCS 20.1.0 but then try debugging with 20.0.2?

Basically try a CCS 20.0.2 + firmware 3.0.0.36 combination and see if that works.

I can reproduce the issue. Since CCS 20.0.2 + firmware 36 works, it is likely not a firmware issue but some other regression.
