CC1352P: Alphasense PIDX-A-040 interfacing with CC1352P ADC

Part Number: CC1352P

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

I need to interface PIDX-A-040 with CC1352P ADC.

The output voltage of this sensor varies from 40mV to 2.85V.

Can I connect the output directly to ADC of CC1352P.

or do I need an anti-aliasing filter before ADC.

Regards

HARI

  • Hi Hari,

As long as your CC1352P VDDS power supply is over 2.85V, you can connect the sensor output directly to your device:

  • Hi Arthur,

    Thank you very much.

May I know the typical VDDS of CC1352P.Datasheet says min and max only.I did not see typical.

Do I need an anti-aliasing filter.

If not shall I keep a 100 Ohm resistor between ADC input and sensor output. My intention is a protection for ADC input.

    Please share your thoughts

    Regards

    HARI

  • On our evaluation kit, the LAUNCHXL-CC1352P1, we run the CC1352P with a VDDS value of 3.3.V.

From the datasheet of the sensor, it seems like we do not need protection, but you can still place a resistor footprint in case of it becoming necessary. As of the antialiasing filter, I believe that you have to ask the sensor manufacturer, or evaluate it yourself.
