Hi TI,

I purchased 2 development kits to set as TX and RX and I programmed them for ns_node_CC1352P1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos7 and ns_br_src_LP_CC1352P7_1_tirtos7_ticlang.

I tried different combinations but these 2 give me some data at least.

I have followed the instruction as per your Wi-SUN setup and I don't get pass the ifconfig command. They come as command not found.

Also, the ns_br kit keep flashing the Red LED on me while the RN has both Red and Grn LED are solid on.

I also had to move back to CSS 12 as the forum suggested to go back if any issue.

Here is the screenshots of both.

Please help me to set these up so I can move on with my development and further testing.

The LaunchPad with the flashing red LED is the CoAP node. It is looking for a Border Router to connect to as soon as you power it up. The led will turn green when it is connected to a Border Router. Meaning, you only need to power it up.

The Border router is the LaunchPad that has the red and green led powered on when you power it up. This is the LaunchPad that you need to connect to pySpinel and then you can start the network with "ifconfig up" and "wisunstack start". The red led will turn of symbolizing that the Border Router started the network.

Please pay attention that you connect pySpinel to the COM port of your Border Router in case that you have both LaunchPads connected to the same laptop.

I have followed your instructions but your example is for different SDK so am I using the correct files from my screenshots for CC1352P7-1, please?

Hi Ali,

the examples are present in all recent SDKs. Which version are you using?

In general I would suggest you to use the ns_br project for the border router because it builds faster and you only need the ns_br_src project if you want to make changes to the nanostack.

For the router node I would suggest you to run a first test with the embedded ns_coap_node project (looks for network after powered on). If you use the ns_node project instead you also need to attach a pySpinel terminal to it and start it using i"ifconfig up" and "wisunstack start".

I am using version 8.3 for Wi-SUN. CC13XX CC26XX

The 1st 3 lines are fine but cannot go further.

please reset the boards and run then on the border router the commands

ncpversion

wisunstack start

Hi Ali,

thank you for sharing the screenshots. The node is working correctly.
For the Border router I see that the connection from pySpinel to the border router is broken.

Please verify first your COM Port using the device manager (it is the first of the two COM ports opened by the device).

If you are sure that the COM port is correct and the error still persists, please download the latest pySpinel version from the official TI GitHub repository: https://github.com/TexasInstruments/ti-wisunfan-pyspinel/archive/refs/tags/TI_WiSUN_STACK_01_00_09.zip

Please unzip it and run again the spinel-cli.py script with the correct COM port.

Yes, that fixed the issue, thanks, the new pySpinel fixed the issue
