CC1354P10: Frequency Drift or Loss of Lock when using Tx CW Wave and Temperature Ramping

Part Number: CC1354P10

Tool/software:

When we test 868.3MHz we have observed larger frequency drift on CW Wave sometimes as much as 500khz-1Mhz and what looks like (on Spectrum Analyser) a loss of lock situation.

Observations:

1. If Tx CW Wave is generated at 0 deg C it is always stable within 5kz of 868.3Mhz

2. If CW Wave is generated at 50deg C  it is always stable within 5kz of 868.3Mhz

3. If CW Wave  is generated at 0degC then Environmental  chamber is changed and ramped to  50C  after about 15-20mins unit frequency can drift as explained above (sometimes not always)

4. When in condition 3 reducing temperature to the lower starting point brings it back to correct frequency and a stable lock on SA.

5. When in condition 3 a hard reset or synthesiser reprogram brings it back into lock and correct frequency.

We initialise synthesiser programming once when entering this tx constant carrier mode and it is used for approvals test only.

Questions:

1. What could cause the above situation and what seems like loss of lock ?

2. Is the cc1354p10 capable of keeping synthesiser in lock when initialisng once at a low temperature then subsequently ramping through temperature changes.??.....ie whats the dynamic range of synthesiser lock across temperature ??

3. Any other comments as to what could cause this issue ?
