CC1352P: CCS v12.8 resource explorer hangs from time to time

Hi,

I have been having trouble with CCS v12.8 recently. If I have the resource explorer tab open, CCS as a whole will randomly hangs. Sometimes I will have to end it from task manager and race to close the resource explorer tab as soon as CCS restarts to prevent it from hanging CCS again.

Is there something we can do other than switching to the Theia based v20?

Hi Zhiyong,

I apologize for the inconvenience.

The best option to include examples in CCS 12.8 without being dependent on Resource Explorer is to use the "import project" option instead to load the project from the file directory.

Switching to CCS 20 is in general recommended moving forward if you consider to further upgrade your SDK version.

Hi Mr. Lange,

Thanks for your reply. I have switched to CCS20 since I posted the question. So far the resource explorer seems work just fine in CCS20. But somehow the code editing in CCS20 is very sluggish, autocomplete takes sometimes more than 1 second to show up. I suspect this has something to do with the server-client architect of Theia. I will just use VS Code for editing for now.
