CC1350: Support for 4-GFSK?

Hi!

The web page for CC1350 states that it supports 4(G)FSK modulation. However I can not find anything about that in the data sheet, reference manual or Smart RF Studio? Is it a typo on the web page or am I just missing how it should be configured?

Hi,

There is no characterised 4-GFSK PHY for the CC1350 (it has been functionally verified only), which is why it doesn't appear in SmartRF Studio.

You can apply the same settings given by Sverre in the following thread to enable 4-GFSK modulation: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/sub-1-ghz-group/sub-1-ghz/f/sub-1-ghz-forum/761710/cc1310-2-gfsk-4-gfsk

You would then need to find new PHY settings based on your requirements using SWRA682 (Finding Settings for new PHYs for the CC13x0 and CC13x2 Family): https://www.ti.com/lit/swra682
