CC1352P: TX current consumption

Hi There,

we are trying to test the TX current consumption under 20dBm and found the current is different on different channel.

do you see the same results? what's the reason? Matching flatness? But, we tested the 125k and 1M PHY, it has different trend.

Test environment, CC1352P-2 LP with Energy trace + Peripheral.

I turn the RF path to SMA and add a loader.

125K coded PHY.

Please apologize for the delay; I was sidetracked by several escalations.

I am not entirely sure if I fully understand the issue at hand.

I can't necessarily see the timing span of the captured current waveforms due to the low resolution of the images but, if the PDU is the same between the two speeds, the packet will be transferred much faster in 1Mbps than in 125kbps. That would explain the longer and flat plateaus on the 125kpbs current consumption profile.

Please confirm if that is what you were measuring.

Hi Desouza,

the issue is actually between each channel. for both images, you can see 4 peak. 3 of them means the chip is advertising in 367/38/39 channel of BLE. and they are adverting with the same TXpower. so theoretically I suppose the current should be quite similar. but from the image you can see it actually varies a bit.
