CC1314R10: Segger JLINK port / read protection + update Flash program support

Question from our customer:

    For the CC1314, can we only enable JLINK port read protection , but still can update program by JLINK？

    And how to enable JLINK port read protection, by firmware or by JLINK pc software?

First off, I don’t want to speak for Segger here, but the general functionality you are looking for IS supported on this device.

 In fact, if you review Section 11 of TRM, using the CCFG registers one can enable port / read protection while still enabling Flash updates:

 Now, Segger shows full support for the CC1314 under JLINK:  Supported Devices - Search results "cc1314"

 I would suspect port read protection and program update to also be supported.

 But we may either want to verify with Segger directly or start an E2E thread on said topic to confirm.

 Let me know if you’d like me to start an E2E for you?  If I don’t hear back today (after hours for you, I know) I will start one, especially since I will be OoO the rest of the week and into early next week.

 I do  believe that in the end we will find these features supported even if following the CCFG register settings is a more conducive method after all.
