CC1352P7: Looking for information about BIM

Hi,

I have started working on a project based on a CC1352P7, and I'm currently trying to find documentation about secure boot. I'm new to using TI microcontrollers, and I don't know how to find basic information like the latest version of Application Notes for Boot Image Manager (BIM), On the Air Download (OAD), secure boot, etc.

What's the right place from where to start looking for documentation?

There are two promising links, in page 8 of this Application Report, named Boot Image Manager (BIM) and Secure BIM, but they are dead :-(

The best place to find documentation for the SimpleLink devices is the SimpleLink Academy, which has a lot of resources

For specific documentation about the CC1352P7, you can read the Technical Reference Manual and the Data Sheet of your device.

For the information about BIM, OAD and MCUBoot, you can find this on the BLE5 User Guide for the CC13xx_CC26xx family. More specifically, you can read the chapter about OAD and the chapter about MCUBoot.

Yes, I found the SimpleLink Academy a few hours ago, but was not able to find recent information about OAD and BIM. That's because I did not think about entering the BLE5 section. Thanks for the links!

The first page of the BLE5 User's Guide displays a version number: 2.2.11.0. How can I know this is the most recent version?

Hi Pascal !

The version number is an interval value used by TI. The best way to always have the up-to-date user guide is to use SimpleLink academy to find the BLE5 user guide, which will always redirect you to the most up to date version.

The user guide that you are using should be similar to the version of your SDK. For example, as we speak the latest version of the F2 SDK is 8.30.01.01, which is displayed on the SimpleLink Academy file tree. If you ever update your SDK, you should also update your bookmarks to your user guide in order to use the most up-to-date version.
