CC1352P7: using UART to MCU to rx/tx RF data

Yes, in addition to the UART setup, you need a defined set of commands.

Three alternatives for you:

1. You can use AT commands if you program the device with the rfDiagnostics examples. Please see the readme file for available commands:

2. If you want the full functionality that you get from SmartRF Studio, you can use the Radio Test Library.

3. If you want to run the Wi-SUN Stack, we support a two chip solution where the CC1352P7 is the network processor.

We do have actual transceiver devices. You can for example check out CC1101. (These use an SPI interface, not UART.)

Hi, CC1101 does not seem to have Wi-SUN and not suitable, but is the option 3 a ready-to-go solution or would I be back where I started?

I need to use other MCU as I do some measurement and analysis and then send data back.

I read others managed to write their own UART.c within CCS and communicate that way too, can you tell me more on this please?

Hi, It looks like I need to create my own UART file that handles the UART business and place a link/pointer at the main file that branch the traffic that way. Is that a correct assumption? If so where does the my pointer needs to be and do you have an example of that please? I managed to get the uartecho and uartfeedback projects working and stuck at this final step.

If you want a Wi-SUN compatible tranceiver you can look at CC1200.

If you want to run a Wi-SUN Network processor we have instructions for setting it up here. It does take some work to set up, but it will already implement the uart for you so you won't have to worry about that part.

Hi, I have the Wi-SUN setup and working. I have 2 XDS110 communicating in Wi-SUN over 915MHz. My question is where do I find more info on how to implement UART to my CC1352P7 so I can hook up a MCU to each to send data between them while the CC1352P being used as transceivers only please. Regards,
