CC1310: Low Battery detection in remote based on CC1310 powered by 2xAAA

On the CC1310, you have access to the BATMON (Chapter 18 of the technical reference manual) peripheral, which is a battery monitor + temperature sensor. It will automatically monitory the VDDS supply rail of the device.

We have an API for that peripheral (aon_batmon.h in \simplelink_cc13x0_sdk_4_20_02_07\source\ti\devices\cc13x0\driverlib) so it should just be a matter of calling AONBatMonBatteryVoltageGet to get the battery voltage.

The BAT register will return a value that you can convert to volts, as seen in the 18.3.1.10 chapter.

Since the BATMON monitors the device's internal supply rail, there is no hardware setup needed. However, if you use a voltage regulator between the battery, and the CC1310, the readings will not match the battery voltage.

does it mean that I can use only AONBatMonNewBatteryMeasureReady() to check if voltage was change? Without any timer, you know for cycling checking?

yes, and in that case, if AONBatMonNewBatteryMeasureReady, you can get the value using AONBatMonBatteryVoltageGet.

1. is this formula will be ok? voltage = (AONBatMonBatteryVoltageGet() * 1.42) / 4095.0?

2. may I debug AONBatMonBatteryVoltageGet() with debugger and powered my device by Launchxl-CC1310?
