Is the SimpiciTI and Zigbee available to be used in the research of algorithm

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: Z-STACK, SIMPLICITI

Hello,everyone,

I'm doing research on the algorithm of WSN,such as router algorithm, topology control or encryption, etc.

On one hand, the Z-stack didn't provide its open code about the algorithm and I can't change its algorithm .

On the other hand, the SimpliciTI need to be added too many codes about router.

So I want to know if they are available to be used in the research of algorithm.

  • Hi Chad,

Not sure if i'm grasping what you are trying to do here.
For SimpliciTI is free source code and as long as you follow the lisence agreement you can do whatever you want with it.

  • Hey

I have been looking for the network layer function definitions for the Z-Stack. But could not find anything apart from the function declarations. Could anyone help me procuring the definitions, as its a very important part of the research work am conducting using the CC2530 ZDK.

Also, may I request the TI engineers to clarify if its possible to lend the source code for the entire/partial network layer implementation, including the routing algorithm implemented (simplifed AODV, as far as my knowledge goes) so that I can modify a bit of the code to test some customized routing algorithms using the kits.

I tried contacting technical support regarding this issue, but was advised to visit the forums and post the issues over here.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks..

  • As I understand the process, the only way to get source code to the NWK library is on a case-by-case bases through a formal request to lpwsupport@ti.com

It would be unprofessional if not illegal to post such source code here.
