cc2530 simpliciTI packet sniffer communicate error

Hi,All!

I try to use the packet sniffer.

However,I got the problem.

When I click the 'START',I found that the 2530 board is stop running(as I make it toggle LED all the time.)

 

And then I can see the  WARNING with a pink blank,it said

COMMUNICATION ERROR!!!

I reset the Packet Sniffer,I reset my board,but nothing was change.

 

Any ideas?

    Try to download the latest version of packet sniffer. Also, you should download the sniffer FW on to your CC2530 board. The sniffer FW is located at C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Packet Sniffer\bin\general\firmware after you install packet sniffer.

    Now the Warning Communication Error is no anymore.

    But the problem is that,When I START,I can see that the BOARD is STOP,I mean it stop running.

    The problem is also happen when I use SmartRf Studio 7.

    I think you taught me to burn the FW to the chips.

    Did you mean burn via the SmartRF Flash Programmer?

    I did that,But it doesn't work

    Yes, you need to burn sniffer FW into CC2530 by SmartRF Flash Programmer or CC debugger. By the way, it seems that you have problem on your CC2530 HW since you fail to download FW. Which CC2530 board do you use? SmarRF05 + CC2530EM or your own CC2530 customized board?

    well,now is that...

    Yes ,it's a my own CC2530 customized board.and it's not 05EB or ccdebug,but is 04EB.

     

    I don't know whether is any problem cause of that.

    I can see something online,someone said that if I have a ccdebug,then it would be OK,but I haven't get it yet.

     

    and I check for other possible reason.

    I ve ensure that my the 10-pin download interface in my board has been connect to the right MISO and MOSI. so I think the SPI interface should be OK.

     

    Further more,in fact,I try my effort with SNIFFER or STUDIO,I just want to know that why it loss packets.

    So I would be appreciate that you can say something about that?

    Is that possible to get a much lower error rate using simpliciTI?

    As I get the 1/200,more or less the error rate.

    How fast do you send messages? Enlarge the duration between sending messages to see if it helps.

    well....

    I ve try duration vary from 100ms 300 500 and  1s 2s

    but it seems that not any differ.

    I see. So, what about your message length? I suggest you try to send shorter message to see if it works better.

    well,I think 10 bytes is short enough

    I suggest you use firefox or chrome browser and you do not need to login again and again. I only use my company email account and it is not suitable to discuss the forum stuffs using it. You can still ask question on forum and I try my best to help. By the way, I am Chinese.
