Hello everyone,

I'm using the EM430F6137RF900 kit with the CC430 chip and my goal is the get a simple WMBus application working (both S and T modes).

I've been trying to modify examples for EM430F6137RF900 but I haven't had much success so far. I've been wondering if someone tried to convert AN067 code for this kit?

Hello TER,

thank you for your reply. I didn't manage to receive anything yet, however my employer now changed plans we will no longer be using the CC430. Instead we opted for a standalone CC1101/CC1120 hooked up to cortex M0 so that it gets integrated into an already existing system. So now I'll be able to use the AN067 without much modification.

Note that you have to use CC1125 if you want to be complaint with the datarate variation in WMBUS T.

Could you please explain what you mean by datarate variation? I wasn't able to find such parametr in the datasheets. Where do I find it? The CC1120 seems compliant with WMbus as far as parameters go. Am I wrong in this?

A requirement in WMBUS T mode is that the reciever has to be able to receive 100kps +/-12%. For CC1120 maximum RX bandwidth is 200kHz and a signal with 112kbps and 80kHz deviation will be too wide and get filtered by the channelfilter (80kHz deviation is maximum for T mode). CC1125 is possible to use with 40MHz xtal, allowing 250kHz RX BW. For more details, see http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra423/swra423.pdf

Thank you very much for the advice. Looks like we'll have to use the CC1125 then.
